July 24-25, 2018 held at the MDOT Central Lab in Jackson, MS

This class is new for 2018.   The class covers laboratory testing of aggregates for concrete. ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2 certification covers the following standard test methods:

• ASTM C131 Resistance to Degradation of Small-Size Coarse Aggregate
• ASTM C535 Resistance to Degradation of Large-Size Coarse Aggregate
• ASTM C142 Clay Lumps and Friable Particles in Aggregate
• ASTM D4791 Flat and/or Elongated Particles in Coarse Aggregate
• ASTM C29 Bulk Density (Unit Weight) and Voids in Aggregate 
• ASTM C88 Soundness of Aggregates by Use of Sodium Sulfate or Magnesium Sulfate
• ASTM C123 Lightweight Pieces in Aggregate
• ASTM D2419 Plastic Fines in Graded Aggregates and Soils by Use of the Sand Equivalent Test
• ASTM C1252 Uncompacted Void Content of Fine Aggregate
• ASTM D5821 Determining the Percentage of Fractured Particles in Coarse Aggregate
